“La Mia Casa” by Luisa Jung

‘La Mia Casa’ by Luisa Jung

“‘La Mia Casa’ is a series of Collages that play with the idea of how domestic architecture was published in Germany during the late fifties.

BY BEA MARTIN

The dream of having a house of their own, the peaceful suburban-life clichés representing the middle-class idea of happiness and moreover, the house seen as the happiness-machine (machine à rendre heureux).

Through the old-style-paper-and-glue-magazine-collage, I seek to alter this utopic scenario making them look funny, strange, ridiculous, sad, and sometimes even surreal.
